# 2. Mobile Pagination and Labels

Use a different pagination type on phones, and style the page numbers in the Style tab.

## A different type on phones

1. In **Content > Pagination**, find **Pagination Type for Mobile**. It applies on screens 480px wide and below.
2. Choose the type for phones. A common setup: **Ajax Number Pagination** on desktop and **Load More Button (Ajax)** on phones, where a single button is easier to tap.

## Colours

Open **Style > Pagination**. It has separate colours for the normal, hover and active (current page) states: text, background and border.

For page numbers, give the active state a strong background so visitors can see which page they are on, and check that the text contrast is high enough in each state.
