# 4. Order, Limit and Recurring Series

Set how many events a widget shows, in what order, and how recurring series appear.

## Order

1. In **Content > Filter Events**, choose **Order By**: **Event Start Date**, **Title**, **ID**, **Event Slug** or **Random**.
2. Choose **Order**: **Ascending** (soonest first, or A to Z) or **Descending** (latest first, or Z to A).

## Limit

**Limit** sets the total number of events the widget shows. With pagination on, the widget shows them a page at a time; see [Pagination Types](https://elementor.wpeventful.com/docs/pagination-types/).

## Recurring series

**Condense Events in Series** works with Events Calendar Pro, which adds recurring events. **Enabled** shows only the next upcoming event of each series, **Disabled** shows every occurrence, and **Default** follows The Events Calendar's own setting. While condensing, only upcoming events are shown.

## SEO Schema Markup

Turn on **SEO Schema Markup** to add Event structured data (JSON-LD) for the events the widget lists. Leave it off if your SEO plugin or The Events Calendar already adds event schema to the same page, so the events are not described twice.
